Sarah graduated from the University of Otago Physiotherapy School in 2016. For the last two and a half years she has been working in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in a private practice focused on Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy.
Over the two years she has practiced she has gained postgraduate certifications in sideline response, and in western acupuncture. When appropriate, she uses Western Acupuncture or ‘dry needling’ in conjunction with her manual and exercise therapies to excellent effect. Her sideline response certifications have helped to inform and enhance the quality of her sports physiotherapy and pitch side care.
Sarah has a particular involvement in rugby as a Sports Physiotherapist, and has provided care to local men’s, as well as regional women’s rugby teams in New Zealand. Following these teams through their highs and lows, providing sideline care throughout has been one of the great highlights of her career thus far, and she is very much looking forward to more of these opportunities here in Scotland.
Outside work Sarah has a personal interest in sports, in particular Crossfit and weightlifting for the last 5+ years. She also has a personal history in swimming, rowing, basketball, netball, hockey, rugby, and equestrian.
