Ashley Armstrong

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Ashley graduated in 2010 from The Robert Gordon University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and came straight to join our team at SPEAR on a full-time basis. Ashley works at all of our Aberdeen Sports Village and Westhill clinics during the week, and has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and return to sport rehabilitation.

As well as her clinical duties, Ashley has been the lead Physiotherpapist for Inverurie Loco Works FC for the past 9 seasons. Looking after a top Highland League Football Team, she has grown a strong interest in football injuries and rehabilitation. These skills are highly transferable and Ashley is very experienced in working with an athletes support team to maximise rehabilitation.

Ashley also has an interest in Pilates, and teaches 3 classes a week at SPEAR as well as utilising these skills withi her clinic sessions. In June 2016 Ashley went to Holland to train in PhysioBikefit and has since started a service in clinic for cycling specific sports profiling. Ashley somehow also finds time to cover Aberdeen Football Club Youth Academy fixtures and Scottish Rugby Union development sessions as well as Scottish Football Association training camps and games.
