SPEAR Sports Injury and Physiotherapy aim to provide the highest quality physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation and our #teamSPEAR chartered physiotherapists work alongside various partners to ensure we keep our clients moving.

Balanced Edinburgh are providers of AposTherapy and we have partnered with the clinic to bring AposTherarpy to the SPEAR Westhill clinic for one day a month. AposTherapy is an innovative non-surgical and drug-free programme for knee and back pain, the method is based on a foot-worn biomechanical device which is individually-calibrated by specially-trained chartered physiotherapists in the Apos team.

AposTherapy was on-site for the SPEAR Westhill clinic open day and we are delighted to be working with the team and to be able to offer this service to our clients!

SPEAR chartered physiotherapist, Karen explains why this is relevant to #teamSPEAR clients: “When clients have severe joint pain, sometimes the only option going forward is joint replacement surgery. Apostherapy gives our clients another option. This treatment is funded by most of the major private health insurance companies as an alternative to surgery, and has a body of research to support it.”

“We pride ourselves on trying to keep at the forefront of cutting edge best practice. People seeking this innovative treatment previously had to travel Edinburgh for treatment. With Apostherapy coming to our Westhill clinic once a month it gives our clients options closer to home. Initial assessment is free so is definitely worth investigating for those in severe pain”

APOS will be in the SPEAR Westhill clinic on the last Tuesday of every month. To book an appointment please call the Westhill clinic on 01224 900102.
